We are proud to introduce our two industry Associations…

About ADSP

The Association of Security Directors of Portugal (ADSP) was created on February 19, 2008, and had its origin in a group of Auditors and Professors of the Specialized Security Program of the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) of the Catholic University (UCP), whose intention is to promote the academic, technical and professional qualification of Security Directors in Portugal.

The professional and social purposes that are configured in the ADSP Statutes project the service of Security and Citizenship, and its professionals as holders of qualified skills in high proficient standards.

The figure of the Director of Security emerged with the restructuring of the Private Security sector that took place in 2004 during the preparation for the “Euro2004” football tournament. These are the main objectives of the Association. ADSP wants to raise the standards of those responsible immersed in the world of Security. The recognition of professionals who for years have provided relevant services in the Security sector is also one of ADSP’s goals, trying to raise both professional prestige and social recognition.

We want to create a space that is a true meeting point, sharing information and promotion, and disseminating solutions to current security problems. From disseminating Lessons Learned, to promoting specialized debates on certain subjects, taking into account their specificity, it is our desire to promote a Center of Excellence because we are aware that this can contribute to a calmer, therefore, more developed society. This will be a very important step towards the professional recognition of leaders who develop or will develop their work in the security sector.
