Q. Who can register to attend TAPA EMEA’s 2026 Annual Conference in Oberhausen?

A. The event is open to all TAPA EMEA members, with registration offered on a first come, first served basis. We encourage you to register early to confirm your delegate place. Once the event reaches capacity, further requests to attend will be subject to joining our waiting list.

Q. We are a TAPA EMEA member. How many people can we register for the event?

A. Subject to places being available on the first come, first served basis, the number of people TAPA EMEA members can register for the face-to-face event in Oberhausen as per your annual membership category benefits:

  • Full EMEA Members – up to 2 delegates
  • Security Service Provider Members – up to 2 delegates
  • Consultants (No Product) Members – up to 2 delegates
  • Parking Place Operator Members – 1 delegate
  • Law Enforcement Agency Members – up to 2 delegates

Q. We are TAPA EMEA members and wish to register delegates who are additional to the number allowed by our membership category. Is this possible – and what is the cost?

A. If places are available, it is possible. The cost per additional delegate for the 2-day event is €800.

Q. I am not a member of TAPA EMEA. Can I still attend the conference?

A. TAPA EMEA will give first priority to its members to register for our face-to-face conference in Oberhausen. Subject to availability, delegate places may be made available to non-members closer to the event and the cost per delegate would be €2,000 for the two days. To confirm your interest in attending, please notify our conference organisers at info@tapaemea.org

Q. Is there a partner hotel for the event?

A. No. TAPA EMEA has chosen the Metronom Theater Oberhausen because of its close proximity to several hotels to suit all budgets, some within easy walking distance of the conference venue. However, to get the best hotel rates, we urge you to book your accommodation as quickly as possible. This is a popular area of Germany for major conferences and events, and demand for hotel rooms is high. Guarantee your accommodation at the best available rate by booking early.

Q. Do I book my hotel accommodation through TAPA EMEA?

A. No, it is the responsibility of each delegate to make their own hotel arrangements.

Q. What nights do I need accommodation for?

A. We recommend delegates book hotel accommodation for the nights of 10 June 2026 and 11 June 2026 as we have a Welcome Networking Reception after the conference sessions on Day 1 and our main Networking Party after the conference ends on Day 2.

Q. Where are the Welcome Networking Reception and Networking Party taking place?

A. The Welcome Networking Reception will take place at the Metronom Theatre straight after our conference sessions end on day 1.

On the evening of Day 2, our Networking Party will be held at Topgolf Oberhausen, nearby to the Metronom. All delegates will be invited to join in this fun golf experience and, if you wish to do so, please ensure you bring suitable flat shoes. Topgolf is great fun, and you’ll enjoy it, even if you’ve never played before! However, if golf is not your thing, don’t worry – we’ll have plenty more entertainment available on the night.

Q. What if I register but then cannot attend?

A. TAPA EMEA wishes to ensure as many of our members as possible can attend our face-to-face event in Oberhausen. Therefore, if you register, but then cannot attend, please notify us immediately so your place can be offered to someone else on our waiting list once we reach the maximum attendance level. Similarly, if you have confirmed you plan to join our Networking Party and then do not attend – even if you have been at the conference during the day – you will be charged for your party invitation if you have not notified TAPA EMEA in advance that you will not now be participating.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you have registered and then cannot attend the conference, you must notify TAPA EMEA by 1 June 2026 by contacting info@tapaemea.org to cancel your place.

Otherwise, you will be invoiced for the full €800 delegate rate for a ‘no show’ at the event.

Similarly, if, as part of your registration, you asked to attend our Networking Party on the evening of 11 June 2026 but then realise you cannot attend, you must also let us know by 1 June 2026 by contacting info@tapaemea.org or you will be invoiced the ‘no show’ cost of €200.

As you will appreciate, TAPA EMEA has a financial commitment to both our conference and party venues and will incur significant costs per delegate and party guest. With all such costs rising year-on-year, it is paramount that the Association recovers all costs from delegates/guests who register but do not attend, and who do not notify us in time.

‘No show’ invoices will be issued immediately after the event. Thank you for your understanding on this important matter.
