Busisiwe Mavuso is Chief Executive Officer at Business Leadership South Africa (BLSA), an independent association whose members include the leaders of some of South Africa’s biggest and most well-known businesses, providing a forum for South Africa’s business leaders to engage with key players in South African society, including government, civil society and labour, to exchange ideas in the national interest and to create effective dialogue.

Busisiwe was awarded the ‘2020 Influencer of Influencers Award’ by the Africa Brand Summit in October 2020 and was named runner up for ‘Businessperson of the Year’ by Daily Maverick in 2021. In 2022, the Women in Economic Development Leadership Forum awarded Busisiwe a Certificate of Acknowledgement to recognise her years of dedication to the field of business leadership and economic development in South Africa.
