Case study: the transport company acquired by criminals
Police officers from the Criminal Department of the Regional Police Headquarters in Katowice, Poland, as part of their current duties, carry out intensified activities related to an established organised crime group with its origin in the Republic of Poland, whose members committed multiple thefts and frauds. The OCG acquired property of significant value in the form of construction machinery, household chemicals, photovoltaic devices, etc.
Ongoing investigation work as well as close international police cooperation contributed to the discovery and recovery of stolen goods, the value of which was estimated at approximately €3.5 million. Due to the complex scope of classified activities carried out, the collected evidence is now being analysed by the District Prosecutor’s Office as part of the ongoing investigation. He is the Coordinator of a special group within Criminal Department of the Regional Police Headquarters in Katowice, Poland, responsible for combating organised crime groups that specialise in crimes against property. He has many years of experience in international cooperation between law enforcement agencies of European Union countries and has been repeatedly awarded by commanders of various police units due to the effectiveness in his daily work.
