Björn Hartong

Björn is a dedicated senior professional with more than 25 years’ experience in protecting company assets and proven contribution to organisational profitability. He has contributed to supply chains of theft sensitive goods on a global level for components as well as finished goods in developed markets as well as emerging markets. His overall aim is to minimise financial negative impact using an Enterprise Supply Chain Risk & Security Management Approach and as such improve internal and external customer satisfaction.

In order to better understand and communicate with all relevant supply chain stakeholders, Björn gained knowledge in security management with an MSc in corporate security management and the globally recognised CPP (certified protection professional) of ASIS, for supply chain specialists the accreditation Certified Supply Chain Professional from ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) and, for general business acumen, an MBA.

The last 7 years, Bjorn has shared his expertise with a variety of customers insured via his employer Zurich Insurance but also through his active involvement in TAPA EMEA, the Supply Chain and Transportation Security Community of ASIS, as well as the loss prevention committee of IUMI (International Union of Marine Insurance).
